Edmonton Community Involvement

Lincolnberg Master Builder  is proud to deliver support to numerous initiatives in the Edmonton community. We organize internal events such as our summer barbecue to raise money for Edmonton charities; as well we also support non-profit organizations through donations and event participation. There are many great charities in Edmonton; the following are the charities that we are proud to say we support:

The ManCap Foundation

The ManCap Foundation offers grants in the names of Alberta entrepreneurs to Alberta high school graduates entering the first year of studies at an accredited Alberta post-secondary institution, in preparation for starting a business.

Junior Achievement

Junior Achievement is the only non-for-profit organization committed to bridging the talent gap and advocating for business education in the classroom. By partnering with local business JA is helping to create a skilled and talented work force. 

Youth Empowerment and Support Services

Youth Empowerment and Support Services provides at risk and homeless youth a chance. They provide services to assist youth in becoming confident and self-reliant.

Santa’s Anonymous

CHED Santa’s Anonymous is devoted to bettering the lives of children in our community by delivering the "spirit of Christmas" to less fortunate children in Edmonton.

Movember – Cancer Research

During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces, in Canada and around the world. With their “Mo’s”, these men raise vital funds and awareness for men's health, specifically prostate cancer.

WIN House

Edmonton Women’s Shelter Ltd. (EWS), most commonly known as WIN House, is a non-profit agency operating two shelters, WIN House I and WIN House II. The WIN Houses are for women with children or without children who are fleeing domestic violence. 

Literacy and Learning Day Society of Edmonton

The mission of the Literacy and Learning Day Society of Edmonton is to offer a free public conference providing the community with information and educational tools to enhance and support the literacy and learning of the children in their lives.

Edmonton Region Homebuilder Charity Funds

Over the years, CHBA-Edmonton Region member companies have contributed generously to help fight housing, youth and crime related problems affecting our area. Members continue to give generously in support of worthy causes both at home and away. Charitable giving has always been a major priority of the Canadian Home Builders' Association - Edmonton Region, but it was not until 2006 that a formal CHBA-ER Charity Fund was established.

Special Olympics Edmonton

In 1974, Special Olympics Edmonton (SOE)was formed in response to the Edmonton community asking to create sport opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities . SOE started with 20 athletes who participated in programs comprised of floor hockey, swimming, track and field, and downhill skiing. Today, over 550 athletes participate year-round in 37 sport programs.

Al Thomas Memorial Golf Tournament - Hosted by the MLC Group

The Al Thomas Memorial Golf Tournament is held every year in support of Prostate Cancer research at the Alberta Cancer Foundation. This tournament since its inception has raise $1 Million in support of cancer research.

Cross Cancer Institute Golf Classic (Alberta Cancer Foundation)

Since 1989, the Cross Cancer Institute Golf Classic has raised more than $10 million to pioneer revolutionary projects in support of patients at Alberta's own Cross Cancer Institute and beyond. Thanks to funds raised by this event, doctors at the Cross Cancer Institute have expanded the boundaries of cancer research, treatment and patient care in Alberta and across the globe. One in six Alberta men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime and more than 2,700 will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in Alberta this year alone.Progress is being made for the 2,700 Alberta men who will hear the words ‘you have cancer’ this year. Innovative ideas and real results are being developed in the lab of the Alberta Cancer Foundation Frank and Carla Sojonky Chair in Prostate Cancer Research held by Dr. John Lewis.
