Whether you are purchasing your first home, or you’ve outgrown your current home, the community of Webber Greens has something for everyone. When Lincolnberg chooses which areas to develop in, we put a lot of thought into the families who will live there. It is important that we build you a house in a neighbourhood where you will be happy and prosper with convenient access to amenities that will make your life feel effortless and enjoyable.
Amenity rich and well-established, Webber Greens is like its own mini city suburb that connects well with the big city. Read on to find out why we recommend you start your love affair with your Lincolnberg home in Webber Greens, west Edmonton.
Here are 5 reasons why Webber Greens is a great place to live in west Edmonton:
1. Walkable & well-connected
We know you are active, you want to reduce your carbon footprint, and save a few bucks where you can – this is why choosing a walkable community with transit steps from your house is not something you’re willing to compromise on. We get that, and Webber Greens takes walkable and well-connected to the next level.
From Webber Greens you can walk to the Lewis Farms Transit Centre, a major transportation hub for the entire west end of the city. From here, you will be able to access quick routes to the U of A, downtown, and West Edmonton Mall. If transit is your thing, you really don’t even need a vehicle in Webber Greens – get rid of it and say goodbye to that annoying commute, sit back and read a book while your bus takes you to where you need to go!
If you need to keep your wheels, Webber Greens is connected to Anthony Henday, a freeway that literally circles Edmonton, connecting you to the inner city, and surrounding cities of St. Albert, Fort Saskatchewan, Sherwood Park, Leduc, and Stony Plain. Alternatively, hop on the Whitemud running from east Edmonton to west Edmonton, ending in the community of Webber Greens.
2. Keep your errands and plans in your hood
Medical, dental, optical, groceries, golf, dinner plans… or maybe you’re feeling lucky and the casino is more your speed – you don’t have to go far! Start your day with an early round of golf at Lewis Estates Golf Course, then check some items off your to do list in West Henday Promenade, and take advantage of having your own neighbourhood Costco. After getting all of that done, you deserve a night out. Good thing Webber Greens is only a $5 Uber ride from River Cree Resort and Casino where there’s always something exciting going on, even if you have a terrible poker face and aren’t much of a gambler.
3. Close to child care
BrightPath West Henday Childcare Centre is in the West Henday Promenade. It features over 20,000 square feet of space, and 247 licensed spots for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years for full time care, and those aged 6 to 12 for out of school care. The BrightPath Centre contains an outdoor area, separated by age groups, as well as a huge indoor gymnasium for colder days. Good childcare can be hard to find, but if you live in Webber Greens, it is located just steps from home. Now it’s just too bad they aren’t open until midnight on the weekends so mom and dad can get a good date night in, although it shouldn’t be hard to find a good sitter on your block with the great mix of people Webber Greens attracts.
4. Proximity to West Edmonton Mall
It is very convenient living within a short drive to the biggest mall in North America. West Edmonton Mall features every amenity you could think of, including major restaurants, pubs, an indoor waterpark, full sized skating rink, indoor rollercoaster and amusement park, and more! Being located so close to West Edmonton Mall means that you’ll always have cool plans and the right to brag about how awesome your hood is.
5. Wabamun Lake day trip?! Yes, please!
If you’re not a happy camper and prefer shorter trips to the lake, with the comfort of your own bed at the end of day, Wabamun Lake is a popular summer destination located 40 minutes west of Webber Greens. Wabamun has four summer villages: Point Allison on the north shore, Seba Beach on the west shore, Kapasiwin on the east shore, and Betula Beach on the south shore. Living this close to the lake means you can take a short day trip to relax on the beach, go boating, go fishing, or grab an ice cream at the village shop – but most importantly, you won’t need to pitch a tent and use an outhouse because you’ll be so close to home.
